How Do You Remove False Lashes? Take Off Press-On Lashes Safely

You've had a wonderful evening, your press-on lashes sat perfectly — and now you want them off again. But how do you do that without tugging at your lashes or taking your own lashes with them? Good news, Queen: with the right method it takes less than a minute and everything stays intact. We'll show you exactly how.

The most important rule: never pull

We'll start with the golden rule, because this is where it usually goes wrong. Never just pull your false lashes off. However tempting — yanking takes your own lashes with it, irritates your eyelid and damages the cluster so you can't reuse it.

The glue releases on its own once you dissolve it. So you don't need to use any force. All you need is a little oil and thirty seconds of patience.

What you need

  • An oil-based remover (or oil-based micellar water / a few drops of mild oil)
  • A spoolie or clean cotton bud
  • A mirror and clean hands

💡 Our Lash Glue & Tools collection includes a skin-friendly remover specially made to gently dissolve the glue of your press-on cluster lashes.

Step by step: how to remove your false lashes

  1. Wash your hands and remove any eye make-up around the lash line so you have a clear view.
  2. Put some remover on your spoolie or cotton bud and gently apply it along the lash line, where the cluster is attached. Not in your eye — only on the glue edge.
  3. Let it soak for 30 to 60 seconds. Give the oil time to soften the glue. This is the secret: patience instead of force.
  4. Gently push the cluster loose, from the outer corner inward. It now releases on its own — if it still feels stuck, apply a little more remover and wait a bit longer.
  5. Remove the last bits of glue from your eyelid with a clean cotton bud and some remover. Then rinse your face with lukewarm water.

Done. No pain, no damaged lashes, and your cluster has stayed intact.

How do you clean false lashes to reuse them?

One of the best things about press-on cluster lashes is that with good care you can wear them again. Here's how to keep them beautiful:

  • Gently remove the old glue residue from the cluster with tweezers or your fingers.
  • Wipe the lashes clean with a cotton bud and a little micellar water.
  • Let them dry completely on a clean surface and store them back in the box.

We don't promise endless lifespan — that wouldn't be fair. But treat your clusters with care, and you'll easily get several wears out of them.

Frequently asked questions

How long do false lashes stay on?
Our pre-glued press-on cluster lashes last up to 4 days, depending on your skin type and how often you touch your eyes. Want them off sooner? The step-by-step plan above always works.

Does removing them hurt?
No — not if you dissolve the glue first with remover. The pain only happens if you pull. So: oil, patience, and gently work them loose.

Can I use regular make-up remover?
An oil-based remover works best, because oil dissolves the glue. A water-based cleanser does that much less well.

How often can I reuse my false lashes?
With good care, several times. Once the cluster loses its shape or stickiness, it's time for a new set.
